explain why mcmurphy is receiving all this electro shock theropy repeatively. how is it effecting him and how does the cheif say it effects him?

Nurse Ratched tells Mac that the treatments will stop if he admits that he was wrong. Mac, of course, declines. Chief tries to convince Mac to just tell her what she wants to stop the shocks. Mac says it isn't so bad but goes as white as a ghost when he is called for "treatment". Mac is in a constant zombie-like fog.
