At this point, Othello still thinks that Desdemona has betrayed him. He thinks that, being a cuckold, gives him the right to protect his honor by killing Desdemona He claims he did not hate her: he only had to kill her for his honor.
Call me an honorable murderer if you like. I did nothing out of hate, only out of honor.
