How is Cassio portrayed in the beginning of this scene?(Act 2, Scene 1)
Cassio is young, good looking, and inexperienced in worldly matters. He is completely loyal to Othello, and he deserves his promotion to Othello's lieutenant. He escorts Desdemona and innocently takes her hand, a gesture which Iago later turns against him as he tries to ruin Cassio's life because of Iago's jealousy.
