Othello attempts to regain some sense of honor and nobility by instructing his captors to remember his heroism and courage in battle.
“When you shall these unlucky deeds relate, / Speak of me as I am” (V.ii.350–351).
“I took by the throat the circumcised dog / And smote him thus...”
