CassIo is referred to as “good lieutenant” and Iago is referred to as "honest". Each term is full of irony. Cassio is in fact a good lieutenant but has been framed by Iago to fall out of favour with Othello. Honest Iago is in fact skilled in the art of manipulation and deceit.
