In what ways, and with what effects does the play present a tragedy of vulnerable love in Venetian society?

The "vulnerable love" is subject to a host of themes that affect the play. As Othello begins to abandon reason and language, chaos takes over. His world begins to be ruled by chaotic emotions and very shady allegations, with order pushed to the side. This chaos rushes him into tragedy, and once Othello has sunk into it, he is unable to stop his fate from taking him over. Othello is a man that sees love in absolutes. Desdemona is a goddess and his muse or she is a cheating strumpet: there is no in-between. Chaos takes over once Iago lays the seeds of doubt within Othello's mind: Othello's love quickly changes from adoration to anger.
