What story does Othello tell to Desdemona about the handkerchief that he gave to her?

Othello tells Desdemona that an Egyptian woman gave the handkerchief to his mother. The woman was a witch and a mind reader. She told Othello's mother that as long as she possessed the handkerchief and kept it with her his father would love and desire her. But if she gave it to someone or carelessly lost it his father would hate her and start looking for other women. His mother gave it to him to give his wife...... and she should treat it as a precious item.
