What were the dreams of Emily?
Emily was a girl who persuade her desires. But I'm not sure of what were her dreams and if she fulfill her dreams, she wanted to be loved.

Although Emily was quite intelligent and self assured, her dreams are quite modest. She wants to marry George and have a family. She talks about staying young on her wedding day but I think, to Emily, the progression to family in a small town means staying young to her. Unfortunately her dreams are cut short when she dies during the birth of her second child.
