I wrote a claim based on chapter 8: In America, people of color are not expected to be successful. I need to find a quote with at least one literary device to support this claim, and the quote should be from somewhere within part I and II (chapters 1-21) of the book. What quote can fit these conditions? It would also be great if you can name the device in the quote you suggested.
