Sorry they win their first but lose their second, and tie Concorde Fire so they don't win the championship. The lessons they learned however are still the same. Nobody expected these kids to do as well as they did.
There are a few conflicts in this story. Most of the conflicts surround Coach Luma's experiences organizing immigrant boys (fugees) to play soccer. They are challenged with having little money and racism. The climax is when they win the championship game. The resolution is when the boys discover confidence through hard work and discipline.
I'm reading the newer version of the book are the conflicts the same because they don't win the championship in this one.
Thanks
So the conflict is her trying to organize a team and find a good field to practice on and the climax is when luma gets the safer field. so the resolution is that the boys learn to work hard and it pays off?
