Claim in chapter 5?

In Chapter Five, Gladwell's overall claim is that our cultural identity plays an important role in our success or lack of the same. Gladwell uses the example of a young Jewish lawyer, and the fact that historically Jewish lawyers have faced prejudice and discrimination. This prejudice and discrimination was the reason Jewish lawyers were forced to work in certain sectors of the law, as they were forced to do work that other lawyers simply didn't want to do in order to find work in this profession. Needless to say, Gladwell makes a fervent point that this type of discrimination laid the foundation for their future success.
