Does Eve's reaction upset Satan's scheme of temptation? How does he change his strategy?

Eve tells the serpent God has forbidden them to eat from the tree of knowledge and she refuses the snake, choosing to obey God. Satan then changes his tactics and tells her that God has tricked them, and that he had eaten of the tree and still lived. His change in strategy is to malign the creator.
