What happened to Paul Revere after he was captured by the Red Coats?

I realize that Paul Revere wasn't alone the night he warned the colonialists that the Red Coats were on their way. But the story says that Revere was captured by the British that night. What happened to him when he got arrested?

Paul Revere was arrested by British soldiers and later released. Prescott and Dawes escaped.
