Do you think Alexander Pope is succesful in expounding absurd behaviour of the 18th century nobility

I think he was successful. Pope went after nobility wit zeal. He challenged the entire social structure of Britain that he felt was created by corruption through politics and bloated aristocracy. He felt these corrupt men were "enemies of all mankind." They existed to suck the life out of the honest citizen.
