Can you compare Elisabeth to the characters which can be found in the work of Shakespeare(Romeo and Juliet)?

There are not too many strong female characters in R & J. The closest I can think of is the nurse who is not afraid to curse men like Mercutio on his own level. The nurse, however, is not young and attractive. The nurse isn't in a position of trying to find a man to marry.
