Like Elizabeth, Mr. Darcy feels awkward. Mrs. Bennet is rude to Darcy. She goes on about Lydia's union with Wickham without knowing it was Darcy that made any of it possible. Darcy is really in love with Elizabeth and is much more humble than he was at the beginning of the story. He sees the inner and outer beauty of Elizabeth and has come to understand that, "good breeding" isn't everything.
