Isn't Mrs Bennet stereotyped as being silly, greedy and not appealing a wrong and unreliable a wrong impression of her, CONSIDERING the fact that she lived years ago where women where neglected and husbands where the way to live?

No, she isn't stereotyped. If we look at her character historically, she is behaving well within the parameters of mothers at the time, thus, if the historical perspective were the only one that mattered, I would say she's being typecast. None the less, we have dialogue here........... described actions, behaviors..... ect., that aren't stereotypical of any one historical period...... they're just plain silly.
