Structurally what is occurring in these chapters? What then was Darcy proposal in vol.2 chapter 11?

At this point, Darcy is not only in love with Elizabeth, he is learning to respect her and see her as something more than a woman who should be thankful to catch him. He is realizing her value as a person. His proposal in Volume 2 was insulting...... he propsed with an arrogance he doesn't feel anymore.
