What are the effects of the shifts of perspective between Somax and Priam in Section 3?
.
.
Somax's narration provides us with a different perspective. It speaks to Priam's status, as well as the disconnection between Priam and the people. Over the course of Section III, we see a different side of Priam..... Priam, in fact, comes to see a different side of himself. Somax is a regular man..... without the pretext of power and money, he doesn't consider honor..... he considers morality, the things that are right and wrong..... the necessity for compassion in the face of vulnerability, the necessity to see that actions have consequences, the question of whether it is fate or chance that truly rules our lives.
