Riders to the Sea, comparable to Greek tragedy

Elements of the Greek tragedy are certainly apparent in Riders to the Sea. One of the story's main themes addresses human suffering and loss. In addition, fate plays a large roll in the story, but unlike the Greek tragedy, the characters do not succumb to fatal flaws within themselves..... they're merely victims of fate.
