Why did mrs.logan want people to stop shopping at the wallences store

In chapter 4 Mama Logan asks her neighbors to not let their kids go to the Wallace store. She also tells them to not shop their either because of what they had done(Burned the Berrys). I think this is a boycott because they are refusing to not buy at the store. Its not a protest about the Wallace store policy, its about what the Wallace family does to blacks, so they are refusing to do buisness with them.
