Romeo sees Juliet and falls in love with her.

"Tybalt, the reason that I have to love thee / Doth much excuse the appertaining rage / To such a greeting" (Act 3 sc.1).

Romeo wants Tybalt to like him as family.

"Then I defy you, stars” (Act 5 sc.1)

Romeo is upset over Juliet's "death". He is rebellious to his fate. He defies Heaven.

"Good gentle youth, tempt not a desperate man." (Act 5 sc 3)

Romeo is desperate now that he thinks his Juliet is dead. He feels rash and capable of killing young Paris.
