Friar Lawrence

Friar Lawrence's character not only moves the plot of the story, he serves as mediator as well. From the beginning, he has his own misgivings about the marriage between Romeo and Juliet. None-the-less, he has hopes that their marriage will settle the feud between the families and promote peace. He also is heavily involved in planning for the couple's reunion. Unfortunately, all his planning is for naught..... as nothing goes according to plan.
