The Friar meant well but Friar Lawrence's plan has more holes in it than Swiss Cheese. Still, his plan is to give Juliet a sleeping potion that will make it look like she is dead. Everybody will be sad. They will stick her in a tomb/vault. Friar will send a monk to fetch Romeo who will return and revive Juliet from her sleep. Everybody will be so happy that all will be forgiven. Of course it doesn't play out like this.
