Romeo and Juliet
What do Juliet's responses tell you about her character?
ACT 4
ACT 4
Juliet is so obsessively in "love" she isn't thinking straight. At this point she is desperate for a solution to Tybalt's death and her separation from Romeo. Here we see the impulsive and rash teenager that supports the main theme of the play. She says, for example, that she would rather die than marry Paris.
Be not so long to speak. I long to die
If what thou speak’st speak not of remedy.
