Juliet wonders why Romeo had to be a Montague. It is just a name, but it is an obstacle that keeps them apart. She states that a name is just what you call an object, and you can call an object what ever you want. Romeo was born with the name Montague, and he can’t get rid of it. She wishes Romeo could change his name so they could be together, but she realizes that they must run away to be together.
