What threats to Romeo and Juliets love already exist in Act 1? How do you think Romeo and Juliet will act to these threats?

Romeo and Juliet's largest obstacle is the feud between their families. Their relationship is immediately threated by the hatred between their families. Sadly..... the feud has been going on for so long, no one even remembers the reason.

Verona, a city in Italy has had two families locked in conflict for many generations. These two families are the Montagues and the Capulet’s. The play starts out with a fight between these two families in the streets of Verona which is soon broken up by the prince and his men. He tells them that if they keep fighting and causing trouble in the streets they will be hanged. After the fight Benvolio who is Romeo's friend finds Romeo who is quite morose because he is love sick over a girl named Rosaline who is supposedly the prettiest girl in the city. As they are talking a Capulet servant walks by and asks Romeo if he can read this list of people he is supposed to invite to this party. When Benvolio learns of this party he tells Romeo that they should go because there will be pretty girls there. The next scene begins with the Nurse of the Capulet house telling Juliet how she nursed her over and over again and that there will be lots of good men at the party tonight. At the party, Tybalt who is a Capulet spots Romeo and immediately wants to kill him but his uncle refuses and says no because they are not causing trouble. Another reason he says no is because he does not want to get in trouble with the Prince and his men. At the party it does not take long before Romeo sees Juliet, the two talk and kiss. At this point both of them are deeply attracted to one another and both of them soon learn that they are enemies in love.
