Romeo and Juliet
What was Romeo's Excessive Pride ( Hubris ) - what time did he show it?
Besides Friar Lawrence
Besides Friar Lawrence
I think Romeo thinking that the world revolves around him and initiating much of the conflict shows his hubris. Romeo's marriage to Juliet, his disruption of the fight between Tybalt and Mercutio, and his killing of Tybalt are all a form of hubris. Romeo cannot get past his own passions to think things through clearly.
