Do you mean when they discuss the reality of death? With no other entrances, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern seek to entertain themselves, but discover that the coin they played with earlier is missing. With this discovery, the conversation turns to the subject of death. Rosencrantz does not grasp why people get depressed about the idea; he believes it is like lying asleep in a box. And if given a choice, he would rather lie in a box dead than alive. Guildenstern contributes little to the conversation as Rosencrantz continues talking about the banality of eternity and when one actually gains an "intuition of mortality."
