what are the qualities that a man should posses to distinct as a good humanbeing?

1) A man must have self-control.

".......keep (his) head when all about (him) are losing theirs and blaming it on (him)."

2) A man must not put on airs.

"Don't look too good, nor talk too wise."

3) A man can be a dreamer, but he should not allow dreams to take over his life.

".....not make dreams (his)master ... (nor) make thoughts (his) aim."

4) A man must be committed to doing things the right way.

"If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken

Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,

And stoop and build ‘em up with wornout tools..."

5) A man must have the courage to take risks and the tenacity to keep going when things don't go exactly the way he wants them to.

"If you can make one heap of all your winnings

And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,

And lose, and start again at your beginnings

And never breath a word about your loss...."

6) A man should be able to talk and converse with ANYONE; he should be friendly.

"If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,

Or walk with kings – nor lose the common touch;

If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;

If all men count with you, but none too much.."
