When Catherine's mother urges her to explain to Jason that her reason for sketching him is not malicious, she advises Catherine to talk to Jason..... intiate a friendship. In return, she makes the best friend she will ever have. This advice also serves to placate Mrs. Morehouse who believes that Catherine is making fun of her son.
