The rising action takes place in Chapter Seven, when Marty takes Shiloh in and builds him a pen.
The falling action takes place in Chapter Fourteen, when Marty spies Judd hunting deer off season. Judd tells marty that he can keep Shiloh if he doesn't tell anyone about the hunting. Marty must also agree to work for him.
