Shooting an Elephant

What seems to be Orwell's attitude towards the Burmese? Do you think he embodies the perspective of a colonizer?

Orwell sympathizes with the Burmese people and does not support British Imperialism and its effect on the country. He also, however, resents the way he is perceived by the Burmese. He certainly does not represent the embody the perspective of a colonizer.
