From what point of view is "A Rose for Emily" told? Why?

A Rose for Emily is told in the first person. Ironically, since the word "we" is used so often, we might want to look at the point of view in terms of "people" rather than "person."

Why? The narrator is speaking for different members of the community at different times in the text.
