Explain which person has the greatest influence on siddhartha and why?

Siddhartha goes on a spiritual journey to find enlightenment while traveling, he comes in contact with many people. He makes friends, builds relationships and connections with people.

I have always felt that Gotama Buddha was Siddhartha's greatest influence. Buddha helped him to realize that he would rather walk his own path than follow another's.
