Govinda is still referred to as "the seeker". Like most of us Govinda has not grasped Nirvana (I don't mean the grunge band!) While Siddhartha has found inner peace, Govinda has yet to forsake all desire and let go. Govinda represents the everyman (or every monk) who seeks nirvana but has not yet found it.
