If you were to choose one romantic relationship within the novel to attest as true, which would it be? and why?

I don't know about a romantic relationship, but if I had to choose one example of love, it would be the love Ishmael has for Hatsue. During the course of the novel, we see him face many emotions in regard to their relationship, but we also see him reach a point where he is able to finally let her go and move on himself because of that love. Hatsue's love for Ishmael demanded that she be honest with him, irregardless if that love caused hurt and pain. When Ishmael finally comes to a point where he can do the same, both Hatsue and Kabuo are freed along with him.
