In the paragraph's specified above, the author illustrates the lengths the Queen is will to go to in order to rid herself of Snow White as a rival. The Queen tried to use the poisonous comb to no avail, which made the Queen even angrier, which is evident in her proclamation that she will kill Snow White "even if it costs her (me) her life." The Queen has no sense of morality and is consumed by jealousy and selfishness.... as a result, we can see that she is unable to see beyond her goal.
