How does shadrack and National sucicide day frame the novel? How does it set the tone for the novel? Is Shadrack a prophet, a madmen, or both? What role does he serve in the community?

Shadrack's actions provide irony, in that he is the founder of National Suicide Day, and yet..... he lives. In essence, he sets a mysterious tone, which borders on lunacy and chaos. Shadrack's perceived madness, in my opinion, is a result of PTSD.
