A Tale of Two Cities
A tale of 2 cities
At the beginning of this chapter 14/book 2, Mr. Jerry Cruncher and his son witness the funeral procession of a spy. The two Crunchers follow this procession to the burial ground, and find out the name of the deceased spy, Roger Cly. In what context has the name Roger Cly been used before? Who was Roger Cly? Why is Cly’s profession of “spy” particularly interesting given his prior appearance in the novel?
