If we compare Charles Darnay and Marquis Evremonde what could possibly be the similarities?

I don't see any similarities Darnay's uncle. Charles Darnay is virtuous and rejects the values of his cruel uncle. Uncle Evremonde is an immoral and cruel man: he runs down a child with his carriage. These guys are total opposites.
