On the storming of the Bastille, Defarge asks the turnkey to take him to "one hundred and five North Tower." Why? How would you explain Defarge's curious behavior when he is taken there?

One hundred and five, North Tower was the place where Dr. Manette was imprisoned. Defarge was looking for something that he didn't name and didn't find. He the proceeded to light the contents of the room on fire.
