Basically the portables are being sucked into a giant muddy sinkhole in the field. On his way back from the office, Paul sees his math class being sucked underground. Without regard for his safety, he runs to help. Most of the kids are evacuated. Paul, Joey and some grade 8 kids form a line to pull stranded children out. Some kids have broken arms and all are shaken up from the experience.
