When trees are cut down, they become rotting vegetation. Muck fires are fires that burn underground. They are started when buried decomposing vegetation catch fire usually by lightning strikes. The fires destabilize anything that is built above ground. The smoke causes much pollution in the air. Mrs. Fisher is upset they wee not informed about this by the developer.
