Why do people call Erik Mr. Generosity?

When Paul goes into the ceremony for Mike Costello, he went to get a program from a girl. Joey says this is Erik's little brother and the girl says, "Mr. Generosity". What does that mean???????

That was Erik's nickname for giving away the stolen items as "gifts". I think Erik was going heavy on the ironic factor with this.
