Why is Paul always afraid of his brother Erik?

Erik is a spoiled enabled boy. He has learned, from his parents, that he can get away with most anything as long as he keeps his social status as an athlete going. Erik frequently abuses other people, especially his brother Paul. When Paul was in Kindergarten, Erik and his sidekick held Paul's eyelids open and sprayed white spray paint into them. I would be afraid of Erik too!
