"ryon has regrets of the end of the book. Explain them and decide whether he should have made the choices he did.
Byron's regrets are mixed up with confusion. He doesn't understand what made him call the police on Mark, he doesn't understand his treatment of Cathy. He doesn't, none-the-less, particularly feel bad about his actions.... he's more worried about how he's perceived.
