I need help choosing a topic for a persuasive essay. (9th grade)

Hello Grade Saver, I am in 9th grade and writing a persuasive essay. I have two topics that I am between. They don't have anything to do with the book, I just had to choose a book.

Topic 1: Giving students homework does not increase grade averages.

Topic 2: Evolution is the only logical explanation for the existence of life.

I know topic 2 is very contraversial, but any help would be very much appreciated.

Also, If you have any suggestions, please feel free to offer them.
