Junior asks the reader to come on this journey with him. He tells his tale through the lens of "truth". What good things result from his truthful nature in this tale? What might be the repercussion for an author, like Sherman Alexie (a.k.a. Junior/Arnold), who chooses to tell the truth?

Junior's truth really gets him a lot of fans. His writer's voice is filled with sarcasm, delf-deprecating humor, and empathy for others. It is his honesty that allows people to see the humanity in almost everything he does. Everybody who has gone through adolescence can connect in some way with Arnold Spirit. I don't think there are repercussions for the author other than making him a lot of money and a respected writer.
