Why is Junior so angry with his geometry text-book? What does he do?

The geometry text was so old that it once belonged to his mother: he saw her name in it. He was so frustrated that Indians had to use old texts that he threw it. I don't think he meant to hit Mr.P but it did hit him in the face.
